Discovering la Roche Guyon, le Moulin de fourges et Villarceaux Estate

Join us in this tour to discover the monuments of the Natural Park of the Vexin Français that concentrates monuments of the heritage list, museums, castles, beautiful villages and a lot of natural beauty. For this tour, we choose three beautiful places: the village and castle of La Roche Guyon, the Moulin de Fourges and Villarceaux.

La Roche-Guyon Castle

We will leave Paris in the morning and we will reach the village of la Roche-Guyon, considered one of the most beautiful French villages, surrounded by the Seine River and situated in the heart of the Normandy Region. With your guide, you will visit the castle, which has a huge medieval tower and belonged to the famous writer François de La Rochefoucault.

Beyond the castle, the village has other attractions such as the church of St. Samson, built in the 15th century, a monumental fountain and other attractions that make this village a culturally interesting site.

For lunch, we will do a picnic in the beautiful and bucolic Moulin de Fourges, a charming mill in the heart of the Impressionist region.

Villarceaux Estate

The next stop is the Villarceaux Estate. The history of Villarceaux begins in the 12th century when Louis VII founded a Benedictine convent of women. In the 14th century, an agricultural mansion replaced the convent and one century after, a medieval castle was built. During the Renaissance period, the castle was enlarged and turned into a vast agricultural estate and a holiday residence. The gardens with huge pools were created in Italian influence.
