Visitas Guiadas em Paris leads you to discover the beauties of the National Park of the Chevreuse Valley full of beautiful monuments, castles, museums, abbeys and of course, lots of natural scenery. We organize a guided tour of three important monuments along this route: the Medieval Castle of the Madeleine, the Castle of Breteuil and the Abbey of Vaux-de-Cernay.

Medieval Castle of the Madeleine

The tour begins by the medieval castle of the Madeleine gateway to the Park of the Chevreuse Valley, situated in the highest part of the national park. Your guide will tell you the history of this magnificent medieval fortress, show you the walls, the cellars and the castle towers. From the top of the fortress, you will admire a beautiful panorama of the valley. 

The tour continues towards the Castle of Breteuil.

Breteuil Castle

With a 17th century architecture, this castle is all surrounded by moats used as protection. The garden is in French and English style with the presence of a space destined to the cultivation of fruit trees "Orangerie".

During this tour you will discover the incredible history of this castle. Three centuries of the history of France are represented in the castle with characters made of wax. Eight short stories by Charles Perrault as "The Little Red Riding Hood", "The Cinderella" and others are staged on the grounds of the castle and around its park and gardens.

After visiting the castle and its gardens, you will be invited to join your guide around a delicious picnic in the castle gardens, carefully prepared with typical products of French cuisine.

The tour continues towards the Abbey of Vaux-de-Cernay.

Vaux de Cernay Abbey

Your guide will tell you the incredible history of this ancient Cistercian abbey founded in 1118 by a group of monks. At Vaux-de-Cernay the monks led a totally self-sufficient life.

The monastery knows its apogee in the 13th century, in the 14th century intellectual life knows a decline and in the 15th century, the monastery is abandoned. In the 19th century, the property was bought and totally renovated. Today, in addition to a place for visitation also houses a luxurious hotel restaurant.
